Repairs

Scope of Work

I primarily service vintage, pre-1990 tube amplifiers. Limited exceptions include Fender reissues and select boutique reproductions such as Tungsten and Victoria. If you’re unsure whether your amp qualifies, please reach out before drop-off.

Deposit

A $100 deposit per amplifier is required at drop-off. This deposit is applied toward the final repair cost. An invoice will be sent via email and is due at the time of drop-off.

Deposits are non-refundable once an estimate has been prepared. If you decide not to proceed and pick up the amp before an estimate is provided, the deposit will be refunded.

Estimates

Due to workload, estimates typically take 2–4 weeks after drop-off. If you are working with a specific deadline, please let me know in advance.

Labor & Rates

Labor is billed at $100 per hour plus parts. Most repairs fall between 1.5–3 hours of labor depending on the condition, originality, and complexity of the amplifier.

Minimum bench charge: $100.

Turnaround Time

Typical turnaround is 4–6 weeks. Timelines may extend due to backlog, complex restorations, or parts availability.

Gosh Amplification is a one-person operation. Each amplifier is treated with the same level of care and attention I would give my own. Properly restoring a vintage amp takes time — sometimes hours, sometimes days — to ensure it performs at its best.

Payment Terms

Once repairs are completed, you will receive an invoice via email. Payment is due immediately upon receipt.

Invoices unpaid after 5 days will incur a 3.5% daily late fee until paid.

Pickup & Storage

Please pick up your amplifier within 10 days of completion notice. After 10 days, a $10 per day storage fee will apply.

If you anticipate a delay, please communicate in advance.

Amplifiers not picked up within 45 days of completion notice will be considered abandoned and become the property of Gosh Amplification.

Warranty

All repair work is warranted for 90 days. If any issue arises related to the service performed, please contact me and I will make it right.
